2026 Rainfall Loan Deferment

In compliance with CBO Circular RD/CDD/2026/71, the bank is providing financial relief to individuals and SMEs who suffered property damage or direct losses due to the heavy rainfall in March and April 2026.

  • Eligible: Individuals with personal, housing, or auto loans, as well as SMEs, who were affected by the rain. This includes Omanis and expatriates.
  • Location: Anyone who suffered losses in the affected Governorates, regardless of where they officially live or where their home branch is located.
  • Ineligible: Accounts already classified as "non-performing" (Stage 3) before the rainfall event are not eligible. 

The following retail loans can be deferred: Personal Loans, Housing Loans and Auto Loans.

  • If you have a Personal Loan with Eid waiver, you can request up to 3 installments, which will include Eid Al Adha. 
  • If you have a Personal Loan without Eid waiver, you can request up to two (2) installments.
  • If you have a Housing Loan or Auto loan, you can request up to two (2) installments.

Yes. If you have Eid deferral you will still be eligible for Eid Al Adhha waiver.

You can also apply for the 2 rain deferments and in this case you will get a total of 3 waivers.

No. To support our community, the bank will not charge any interest or profit on the deferred installments during or after the deferment period. Additionally, there are no processing fees for this request.

This is a relief measure. Choosing to defer your payments under this policy will not negatively impact your risk classification or credit standing with the bank.

Visit your nearest branch to fill out the designated Rainfall Relief Application Form. The bank will perform a quick verification and take your National ID to confirm you fall under the "affected persons" category.

Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2026.

The deferment will result in an extension of  the loan tenor. The repayment schedule can be obtained from the nearest branch or through the loans section on the Mobile Banking application.
