Added conveniences at ATMs like:
Your ATM card is delivered to you with a PIN. Customers may wish to change the PIN of their card. They may do this at the ATM using the keypad and the prompts on the screen.
You can carry out the following transactions at all our ATMs across the country: Withdraw cash Request a mini-statement Make a balance inquiry Change your PIN Deposit Cash (Through CDM enabled ATMs)
In the event of loss of an ATM card, the first thing to do is to inform the Sohar International Call Center Phone 24730000 about the loss. This will have to be followed by written instruction to your branch to stop payment for transactions made on the card.
There is a difference between a credit card and a ATM card. With a credit card you get credit for your purchases and receive a bill for them at the end of the month. You also have a credit limit on the credit card. On a credit card interest is levied on unpaid balances after the due date each month.
ATM cards can be used only in ATMs. There are no credit limits and no monthly bills. You can use the ATM card to access money in your savings, checking or current account.
The ATM card is the property of the Bank and is made available for the use of the customer. At the time of the issue of the card, the validity is inscribed on the card like 06/09 or 08/10. This means that the card is valid till and available to the customer till the end of June 2009 – 06 refers to the month of June and 09 refers to the year 2009. Similarly, 08/10 will mean that the card is valid until the end of August of the year 2010.
ATM, debit cards and credit cards can be used at an ATM.
Sohar International ATM Card holders can withdraw up to RO 800 a day and wealth managment customers can withdraw up to RO 1,200 a day.
The Sohar International ATM cards may be used at ATMs of other banks that are part of the OmanNet and GCC Switch.
The use of the ATM card in Oman is free-of-charge for Sohar International customers, both at the ATMs of Sohar International and at the ATMs of the member banks in OmanNet. Cash withdrawals in GCC countries other than Oman will attract a fee.
